Tattoo Time

With my federal tax refund sitting pretty in my account, I am ready to start the ball rolling on my second splurge (first was my contacts!)

I’ve been planning on getting a tattoo for El since she was a couple months old.  I knew I wanted the quote from ‘The Complete Adventures of Peter Pan’ by J.M. Barrie:

one girl is more use than twenty boys

And I also knew I wanted an acorn and a thimble.  They are Peter and Wendy’s kisses to one another.  I also knew that I wanted them to be sketches.  After some searching around I found this acorn:

And this thimble:

I do know that I want the acorn without the twig attached and the thimble a little less dark, less shading I suppose.  I want them to look like they came from the same sketchbook, if that makes sense.

I came across this on pinterest and think it’s such a great idea: just a slight pop of color in a black and grey piece.
